You will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient running of our three busy dental practices. As Practice Manager, you will
play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care while also supporting the professional development of our
staff. The practices have 12 clinicians and a team of 10 support staff and are open 6-7 days a week.
About the practice and the role:
- 30 hours a week (can be split over 5 days a week, which can include glide time to work around school pick-ups, etc.)
- Time spent in all three practice in Central Auckland each week

Practices are general and cosmetic dental practices offering patients the full range of dental treatments including Aesthetics,
Orthodontics, Invisalign, Hygiene, Endodontics, Implants, Veneers, Crown & Bridge, and Whitenings
- Remuneration: Market rate for the skills and experience the candidate brings to the role

Duties include:

Managing day-to-day operations of the dental practices, including:
-
staff schedules, patient flow, and resource allocation to ensure seamless operation of practices
- Overseeing financial management, including budgeting, invoicing, and reporting

Implementing and maintaining administrative policies and procedures to improve practice efficiency

Coordinating the professional development and training of clinical and non-clinical staff

Serving as a liaison between the practice and external stakeholders, such as insurance providers and regulatory bodies

Work with Principal to drive continuous improvement initiatives, enhance patient satisfaction and practice performance

Manage, lead, and support team (clinical and support) to ensure high-quality service delivery, while fostering a positive and motivated
workplace culture
- Software used: Xero (bank reconciliation); Exact (practice management)

Ensures accounts are managed accurately and efficiently, follow up on overdue accounts and late payments
- Liaises with ACC and Ministry of Health for treatment carried under ACC or MOH
- Organises patient records and maintains confidentiality
- Human Resources, including recruitment of staff

Cover reception desk when required to welcome patients warmly, manage appointments and oversee front desk operations
- Liaise with marketing third parties to ensure optimal spend
- Manages the payroll for employees and contractors and resolving any invoice queries

Oversees and supports the digital, general and local area marketing and promotions, and monitors business growth and data analysis
- Maintains facility and equipment in accordance with hygiene and safety regulations
About you:
- Previous experience in a healthcare management or medical/dental practice administration role
- Strong understanding of business management, policies, and best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage a diverse team
- Proficient in financial management, data analysis, and reporting
- Proven track record of implementing successful operational and process improvements
