As our Receptionist the main purpose is to ensure our patients are made to feel welcome and have a positive dental experience, while
supporting the team.
About the practice and the role:
- Full time permanent with some flexibility in hours. No weekend work required.
- 4 chair general practice with modern equipment
- Experienced team of clinicians and support staff
- Knowledge of EXACT and Xero software will be helpful, but training can be provided

Duties to include:
- Manage all front desk operations, greet patients, maintain patient records and accounts
- Efficiently manage appointment bookings and maintain a full appointment book
- Phone and email management, along with patient recalls
- Pre and post dental care for patients
- Understand the workings and liaise with ACC, WINZ and MOH
- Remuneration: Market rate and based on experience and includes car park
About you:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service/reception is required

Previous dental and administrative experience essential ( it would be great if you had some experience as a Dental Assistant as well, but
not necessary)
- Committed to a long term position in the team
- You'll be friendly, motivated, with a positive attitude and good work ethic
- Well presented, organised, reliable and punctual
- Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English, communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service skills with exceptional telephone manner
- Able to multitask, think on your feet and prioritise tasks
- Good attention to detail
- You should be eager to learn, willing to be coached, show initiative, and demonstrate a high level of self-responsibility.
