Immigration NZ processing delays

4 September 2024
Immigration NZ (INZ) and the NZ Government are putting a stronger emphasis on compliance.

The processing time of employer accreditations and job checks have also increased. INZ are requesting further information for accreditation, reaccreditation, and job check applications. They are also becoming stricter on certain aspects of policy. With an anticipated processing time of 2 months for accreditations and job checks, and 1-2 months for Accredited Employer Work Visas. So you need to plan ahead to ensure processing delays don't impact your business.

Government visa fees increase from 1 October 2024. If you plan to get accredited, re-accredited, a job checked, or submit an Accredited Employer Work visa application, don't delay.  You'll want to get your application submitted before the cut-off date. If you or your team have any questions about these changes we suggest you speak with your Immigration adviser to get up-to-date information on what's now  required by INZ.

Further details can be found on the INZ website here.
